November 2003
December 04, 2003 - This Monday, December 8, at 9:00pm EST, the Sci-Fi
Channel will premiere their "reimagining" of
Battlestar Galactica. Written and produced by Trek veteran Ron Moore, it's a
radical departure from the Galactica of old.
Building up to the premiere this weekend, we'll be featuring the cast in our
very own 10 Questions spotlight.
Today we've got Jamie Bamber, who plays Captain Lee Adama (Apollo):
1. What is your favorite piece of music?
Londonderry Air.
2. What is your
favorite film?
Adaptation / Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
3. What is your
favorite TV program, past or current?
Six Feet Under / Curb Your Enthusiasm / Brideshead Revisited.
4. What do you feel
has been your most important professional accomplishment to date?
My first theatre lead as Prince Hal in Henry IV i and ii at the Bristol Old
Vic. It has always been my boyhood dream to be a
classical stage actor and I would love to do more.
5. Which project do
you feel didn't live up to what you envisioned?
The same Henry IV productions at Bristol. I wish I had believed more in my
own convictions about the character and had
greater confidence to assert them in early rehearsals. Would love to play
the part again...
6. What is your
favorite book?
Dante's The Divine Comedy.
7. If you could
change one thing about the industry, what would it be?
Reduce the number of TV commercials/hour and introduce more publicly funded
broadcasting.
8. Who or what
would you say has had the biggest influence on your career?
Whoever I'm working with.
9. What is your next
project?
My family...
10. What is the one
project that you've always wanted to do, but have yet to be able to?
To play Hamlet, but thank god no one has let me...
